This section provides information on reconfiguring the TouchScreen to suit local network configuration. This section is very technical. The changes will require the temporary connection of a keyboard and mouse to the system, note this will confuse the touch screen overaly so do not try using touch controls with the keyboard and mouse connected.
The default configuration of the WebBrick Gateway TouchScreen is to use DHCP to get an IP address. and to connect to a WebBrick gateway on 10.100.100.1.
Login to the TouchScreen using SSH
Note SSH requires the network to already work, i.e. the machine from which you connect must be on the same network or there must be a routing rule in the network to enable that to work. So the network has started correctly then you can login to the touch screen using SSH, ssh webbrick@ip-address using the password 'password'. Look at DHCP server status to identify IP address. Note SSH is configured to not permit direct root login. Once connected 'su' will prompt for the root password.

Login to the TouchScreen using Keyboard and Mouse
If the network is not fully up then you can login to the touch screen using a keyboard and mouse plugged into the unit directly. If a mouse is connected when the screen is powered up the touch screen overlay will not operate correctly, so do not try to use the overlay with a mouse plugged in.
Power up the touch screen, once powered up use the Ctrl and BackSpace key to exit the browser login and return to the login screen, enter the user name root and password webbrick to get a root login.
When finished flick the power switch to shut down the screen, disconnect the keyboard and mouse and power up again.
TouchScreen IP address
Login using either of the login methods.
Then in the terminal prompt type /usr/bin/system-config-network and enter to run the network configuration utility. Select the ethernet interface and Edit button to bring up the change dialog. Enter the new IP address, net mask and default route and then Ok. This changes to configuration but does restart the network. So deactrive and activate the network interface to bring it up on the new settings. You will have to disconnect the keyboard and mouse and power cycle the screen to get the touch screen working again.
WebBrick Gateway address
The default auto login user 'browser' connects to the webbrickgateway at 10.100.100.1, to change this address you will once again need to login using either of the above methods and edit the /etc/hosts, use 'nano' a simple editor. In the terminal screen type 'nano /etc/hosts' Locate the line that starts webbrickgatewaty and change the IP address to that of your gateway, then type Ctrl+X and when prompted to save answer Y for yes.
